Welcome to Whānau Koru!

Once you have enrolled your child at Balmoral School, you will receive further information about your child’s start date and visits. Children joining Year 0 or 1 will do so in 2 cohort groups each term. These dates are set by the Ministry of Education (MoE)

Prior to starting school, your child will have two consecutive school visits in the week before they start school. 

Please enrol your child at least 3 months in advance so that they don’t miss out on school visits.

Cohort Entry

Cohort Entry Dates for 2025:
Term 1 – 7 February or 10 March,
Term 2 – 28 April or 26 May,
Term 3 – 14 July or 18 August,
Term 4 – 6 October or 10 November.

Cohort Entry Dates for 2026:
Term 1 – 9 February or 9 March
Term 2 – 20 April or 1 June,
Term 3 – 20 July or 24 August,
Term 4 – 12 October or 16 November.
