Balmoral School enters teams into the Central School Hoops League each term.

This league is run by Auckland City Basketball supported by the Central Auckland Silverbacks.

Term 1 is a 6-week grading competition. 

Terms 2 & 3 are an 8-week competition league. 

Term 4 is a 7-week competition.

There are two grades in the competition:

TUPU is for those starting their basketball development journey

HOOPSTERS is for players with more experience seeking competitive game opportunities.

This is a great opportunity to give basketball a go and represent Balmoral School in a league competition. This is a mixed boys/girls league. No experience is necessary. There is no obligation to play for the whole year. All players will need to register to play each term.

YEAR 7/8  Hoopsters

YEAR 7/8  Tupu
Day: THURSDAY nights

Uniform:
From 2026 there is a school basketball singlet.
There will be a transition period over the year while we roll this uniform out to all teams.

Year 5/6 
Balmoral School Basketball Singlet and navy shorts or 
Blue Primary Sports Top (available at The Warehouse St Lukes for $30) and navy shorts

Year 7/8 
Balmoral School Basketball Singlet and navy shorts or 
Intermediate PE top and navy PE shorts
