This week we welcome Mike Scaddon to Balmoral. Mike has been a school teacher / principal and has extensive training in brain compatible learning. He has worked as a learning consultant around the world, and is also an author. He is convinced that thinking and learning programmes will not work to their potential until students understand and master their thoughts. He believes this understanding is an essential step in developing the confidence to take the risks necessary for true thinking and learning. You are welcome to attend our parent evening with Mike on Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:00pm in the auditorium. Also a reminder that school is closed on Friday for a Teacher Professional Development day with Mike on "Creating a Classroom of Critical Thinkers".
